The Automotive Rivalry... Not Going Away Any Time Soon.


Just like every other aspect of human lives; battles, rivalry and stringent competition also rear their heads up in the automotive industry. Perhaps the most iconic, oldest and all time fiercest is the battle between the German lords; the Bavarian Motor Works Inc (BMW), and the Daimler AG Benz. We have several other rivalries too in the industry, but I suppose they're not all that pronounced like the BMW-Benz one. Among such other rivalries are; Toyota versus Honda, Kia versus Hyundai, Nissan versus Toyota, Audi versus Volkswagen and Bentley against Rolls Royce.

These two (The BMW and Benz) have piratically responded to each other product for product, line for line. Their battle for supremacy can be see in some of their line ups as seen below;

BMW 7-Series against Benz S-Class
BMW 5-Series against the Benz E-Class
BMW 3-Series against the Benz C-Class
BMW 6-Series against the CLS
BMW X6 against the GLE Coupe in Benz.
BMW X7 against the Benz GLS 

While one must admit that BMW has been around for quite a while and they are known for their craft in building performance cars with outstanding engines that has earned them the title of one of undisputed market leaders when it comes to building engines that do "so much with little". The Benz on the other hand added luxury and style to their own craft of building somewhat reliable engines too. and that has been evident in their recent comparisons against topmost luxury brand like Bentley and Rolls Royce (still owned by BMW anyway)

To be frank, the battle between these two are not going away anytime soon. The battle has been handed down from generations like estates inherited from old grannies which much be kept alive and preserved. There have been so many of such battles on YouTube, Instagram (with several memes across the globe) and all other social,electronic and print media platforms.

From today we are going to be doing series of face-off and rival trends just to educate ourselves more of each brand strengths and weaknesses and also know what each brand faithfuls think of their "supposed" rival(s).
